        This site collects minimal data. I don't sell your information, I don't run ads, and I don't use tracking beyond basic analytics. This policy explains exactly what is collected and why.
      

Who operates this site

This website (marikbrest.com) is operated by Marik Brestovitsky, an individual based in Israel. For any privacy-related questions, you can reach me at marik.brest@gmail.com.

What data is collected

Contact form submissions. When you fill out the contact form, I receive your name, email address, selected topic, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. I do not add you to any mailing list, and I do not share this data with third parties.

Analytics data. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with the site — which pages are viewed, how long visits last, and which devices are used. GA4 collects anonymized data including your approximate location (country/city level), device type, browser, and pages visited. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Server logs. The web hosting provider may automatically collect standard server log data, including your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. This data is used for security and performance monitoring only.

Contact form data is retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, typically no longer than 12 months. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Server logs are retained according to the hosting provider's standard retention policy.

Under applicable privacy laws, including the Israeli Privacy Protection Law (1981) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of any personal data I hold about you. Correction — request correction of inaccurate data. Deletion — request deletion of your personal data. Objection — object to the processing of your data. Opt out of analytics — you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by declining cookies when prompted on this site.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 16. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through this site, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.
